— Who We Are —

The Corsairs at Port Royal, Jamaica
— Est. 2025 — Grand Cayman —
The Cayman Islands Corsairs are a premier cultural, theatrical, and historical performance crew based in the Cayman Islands. Operating as a registered not-for-profit organisation, our true treasure is our purpose: cultural preservation, high-energy entertainment, and deep community connection. We bring the thrilling, unwritten chapters of maritime history to life across the Caribbean — while actively building an international alliance of historical performers.
We are not your average outlaws. While common pirates operated as rogue thieves of the seas, historical Corsairs were noble privateers sailing under a sovereign Letter of Marque — commissioned agents of the Crown, not mere brigands. As modern-day Corsairs, we honour that noble tradition by ensuring 100% of our resources are reinvested directly into local historical education, volunteer performance training, and community outreach.
Through vibrant theatrical performances, community festival appearances, and international landings — including our recent voyage to the legendary Port Royal — our fully costumed crew honours the rich maritime legacy of the Caribbean, guided always by our crew motto:
"Never Caught — Always Triumphant!"
— Our Story —
In the year 2025, a new force emerged from the waters of the Cayman Islands, carrying with it the spirit of adventure, brotherhood, and the golden age of piracy. This force would become known as the Cayman Islands Corsairs.
The group was founded through the vision and determination of two renowned pirate enthusiasts: Battle Bill, known beyond the seas as Guglielmo Battaglia, and Jack Ward Sparrow, known in ordinary life as Andrea Iallorenzi. Though they came from different pirate crews already established within the Cayman Islands, both men shared a common dream — to unite the pirate community and create something greater than any single crew could achieve alone.
The opportunity arrived with the announcement of the first Kingston Pirates Week in Jamaica in 2025. Recognising the historic significance of the event, Battle Bill and Jack Ward Sparrow brought together their respective groups in a bold fusion. What began as a collaboration soon evolved into something greater — a new brotherhood, forged in shared purpose and bound by the spirit of the Caribbean sea.
Thus, the Cayman Islands Corsairs were born.
The journey to Kingston proved to be a turning point. The event was a remarkable success, drawing pirate enthusiasts, performers, historians, and adventurers from across the Caribbean and beyond. The Corsairs quickly distinguished themselves through their enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to authentic pirate culture.
Their presence left a lasting impression on the Jamaican organisers. Friendships were forged, partnerships established, and a bond of mutual respect grew between the Cayman Islands Corsairs and the Kingston Pirates Week leadership. What began as participation in an event became the foundation of a lasting Caribbean pirate alliance.
Following their successful debut, the Corsairs entered a period of rapid growth. New members joined their ranks, attracted by the group's energy, camaraderie, and vision. The organisation expanded its activities beyond attendance at events, becoming a driving force in the creation and promotion of pirate gatherings throughout the region.
From festivals and historical reenactments to charitable activities and cultural celebrations, the Cayman Islands Corsairs became known for their ability to bring people together under the banner of adventure and friendship. Their reputation spread far beyond the shores of Grand Cayman.
Today, the Cayman Islands Corsairs continue to grow, organise major events, and represent the pirate community wherever their sails may carry them. Their story is one of unity, ambition, and the belief that great achievements are born when individuals work together toward a common goal.
Their banner flies proudly beneath the words that define their spirit
"Never Caught, Always Triumphant."
And as long as that motto endures, the legend of the Cayman Islands Corsairs will continue to sail across the Caribbean seas.

— The Corsair Distinction —
Litterae Marcae
The word Corsair derives from the Latin cursarius — one who runs a course. Unlike common pirates who plundered for personal gain, Corsairs operated under royal commission: the Litterae Marcae — a sovereign document granting legal authority to sail and seize enemy vessels on behalf of the Crown.
